Rebeka – 12. chapter
The hallway was empty, and as usual, Rebeka had her office door open. Erik stepped into the doorway, leaned against the doorframe, and waited until Rebeka looked at him.
“Is your ass scraped up?” he whispered conspiratorially.
She smiled softly.
“Definitely less than your knees,” she whispered back.
He smiled too.
“Disgusting office carpets. Next time, we need to come up with a different place.”
Rebeka hesitated.
“Erik… there won’t be a next time,” she said aloud, while thinking to herself, I’m full of shit. Fuck me again. Right now!
The smile vanished from his face. He studied her face for a moment, then lifted his hand, waved at her, and said irritably,
“Greetings, Mr. Hyde. I’ll come back later, when Dr. Jekyll returns.”
With no interest in another one of her annoyed looks, he immediately turned and left.

“I’m not the relationship type.”
Erik recognized Rebeka’s voice in the hushed whisper coming from reception as he walked down the corridor. In a strange way, it pleased him. He hadn’t spoken with her in days.
“That’s nonsense. Every woman is the relationship type,” the other woman argued. “And that Demský really wants you. I see how he looks at you.”
“Lenka, I’m not used to giving in and compromising,” Rebeka replied. “And that’s part of a relationship, isn’t it? I prefer having things under control.”
“Hm. I don’t think you’re that much of a bitch as you pretend to be. And I don’t think he believes it either. Unless he’s a masochist.”
They both laughed.
Erik hesitated, wondering whether to step out from around the corner and show them he’d heard, but instead he turned back toward his own office.
He lasted barely an hour before heading to Rebeka’s office. Only after closing the door did he see her standing by the window. She gave him a hostile look, but said nothing.
“Are you okay?” he asked gently, walking toward her without stopping. He carefully raised an open hand toward her face and leaned in slightly.
“Don’t you dare!” she hissed.
He stopped his hand in the air and studied her expression for a moment. Then he pulled a disapproving grimace, collected himself, and let both arms fall loosely at his sides.
“You liked it,” he whispered. “I’ve seen you come a few times before, but I’ve never seen you that aroused. You were amazing! Honest. Natural. Wildly horny. Because of me!”
She lifted her nose defiantly. He recognized this preparation for attack and wanted badly to stop it. He shifted his voice into a soothing tone.
“Rebeka, what’s wrong? It was fantastic! And tell those fairy tales about not being the relationship type to the receptionist, not me. You wanted me!”
Her frown deepened.
“Stop,” she forced through her teeth.
“What’s pissing you off?” he pressed, refusing to give up. “That you gave me pleasure? Or that I had you willingly, yielding and aroused, without the bitch mask?”
She lifted her nose even higher.
“Leave,” she ordered calmly.
He gave her a disapproving but helpless glare, then reluctantly headed for the door. As he passed through the doorway, he muttered,
“Dr. Jekyll is taking his time.”
