My Wife, My Rules – 39. chapter
Aiden stepped out of the small chamber with damp hair and nothing but a towel around his hips. His pace was slow, measured. He stopped by the bed. He bent to pick up his shirt, then noticed Tess’s gaze on his body. He straightened only gradually and looked over.
Tess sat in the chair by the window, turned slightly sideways, one hand resting on the armrest, a book in her lap. Her eyes were fixed on him. On the drops of water sliding down his chest. On the loosened set of his shoulders. On the hard tension of his thighs beneath the towel.
He said nothing and let her look. He enjoyed the way her gaze crept under his skin and stirred a careful tension. He knew she’d been thinking of it longer and more intensely, and he would have liked it to start happening. Only when their eyes met did she realize he’d seen her thoughts. She looked away, embarrassed.
“If I ask you to undress,” he asked gently, “will you do it?”
“No!” she snapped.
So either he accepted there’d be no sex, or he’d have to rape her again. He didn’t want that, so he began to dress. On purpose, he started with his underclothes and trousers. Tess kept her eyes in the book. He had barely fastened himself when a knock sounded. Tess sprang straight to her feet and was already standing hidden behind the curtain.
Aiden exhaled in irritation and opened the door only a crack, but with an immediate question.
“What do you want now?!”
Viktoria leaned almost seductively against the frame and gave his bare chest the same look his wife had given him moments before. But this one did absolutely nothing to his body.
“Inviting friends for tomorrow was an excellent idea,” Viktoria smiled. “I’m glad you’re finally beginning to calm down.”
Aiden had invited people for her? Tess was unpleasantly surprised behind the curtain.
“Calming down?” Aiden asked, not understanding.
“Well, perhaps better to say… That you’re beginning to see the advantages of my presence.”
“I don’t see a single one.”
“Aiden. You don’t have to be so cold. After you did this, I suppose… You’re ready to give me a chance. Trust me, you won’t regret it. I’m sure I can take care of your body far better…” She reached for his chest.
He caught her wrist in a flash before she had a chance to touch him. Viktoria had really pissed him off now.
“Why don’t you give it a rest?!” he raised his voice. “You didn’t get me before, and you won’t get me in the future. Why do you keep trying?!”
She hadn’t gotten him before?? Tess froze behind the curtain.
“You probably only needed time. Just like with your friends. And now, surely, finally…” Viktoria wouldn’t let it go.
“NO. Even if I never saw Tess again in my life, I wouldn’t touch you. Ever. Will you finally understand?”
She stood there, stunned. Aiden had no patience left, so he slammed the door shut and locked it.
Only after he heard her footsteps on the stairs did he turn back into the room.
“Tess?”
She stood in front of the curtain now, not behind it. He stepped to her and stroked her cheek.
“I’m sorry you still have to listen to her. It won’t last long.”
He brushed a hand over her hair and tucked a strand behind her ear. Only then did he notice her fixed stare and go alert.
“What is it?”
She watched him a few seconds more before it finally came out.
“You didn’t sleep with her.”
He laughed, amused.
“Of course I didn’t sleep with her!”
He stroked her again. Then, a second later, he realized what she’d said, and his smile froze on his face, his hand mid-motion. He pierced Tess with a look.
“You’ve been refusing me all this time because you think I fucked your sister?”
She couldn’t answer. She only looked down at the floor. He stepped back, his voice turning hard.
“My dear, we’ve played this game before. And if memory serves, you didn’t come out of it the winner.”
No, she hadn’t. She remembered very well what she got for it afterward.
“I’m finding the lesson you received taught you nothing,” Aiden said, almost disappointed.
“I’m not saying I thought so for sure!” Tess finally began to defend herself. “But… you said something that sounded that way.”
“What did I say?”
“That she tries to touch you the way I do.”
Saying it aloud didn’t sound nearly as convincing as she had understood it then.
“Damn it, that doesn’t mean I allow her to!”
She fell silent.
He threw himself into the chair. She sat, much more slowly, on the edge of the bed.
“Tess, I’ll tear you apart,” he growled. Very quickly, though, he calmed his tone and spoke slowly and deliberately.
“As long as you love me, I’d never lay a hand on another woman. Never choose your sister, out of respect for you alone. And I’d certainly never choose a heartless beast like Viktoria!”
She understood him. She believed him. Why only now? She said nothing.
He watched her and thought. He could bend her over his knee right now. He could whip her with a strap and she wouldn’t resist. But he didn’t want to beat her. He wanted her obedience. Her love, her devotion.
He stood and disappeared somewhere out of her sight. Apparently, he took something from somewhere and returned to the chair. He sat down, legs spread wide. He placed what looked like a small decoration on the table beside the chair. A little drop of white marble, polished smooth. On one side, it narrowed to a rounded point, then widened into a full body. The bottom narrowed again, but near the end it was flat and firm, like a guard. Tess couldn’t take her eyes off it, while Aiden stopped caring about the decoration the moment he set it down.
He watched Tess and decided to indulge in pleasure.
“Come here,” he ordered softly.
She rose at once and stepped to him. Aiden spread his legs even wider.
“Kneel.”
She understood. And did as he ordered. His hands rested loosely on the armrests, he didn’t move. He looked at her with a gaze she knew very well. And then he smiled beautifully too.
“Please me,” he invited, without anger, almost charming.
Tess nodded, but said nothing. Carefully she placed her hands on his hips, fingers slipping silently to his belt. With slow movements, she unbuckled it, loosened it, and never once stopped. The buckle chimed, but she parted the fabric of his trousers slowly and carefully. He was hard, it didn’t surprise her. She stroked him once along his length. When he sighed, she bent and touched him gently with her lips.
Aiden still didn’t move. He watched her take him into her mouth, slowly, thoroughly. Even without the physical pleasure, the sight aroused him. She found a rhythm. Not harsh. Not urgent. He wanted to push himself deep into her throat, but managed to hold back and leave it to her. He gripped the armrests. Hands stayed where they were. He breathed deep, all the way to the end.
He watched her as he began to come into her mouth. She pulled back only when his orgasm began to fade, and Aiden watched her swallow.
“You do understand punishment won’t miss you anyway?”
She didn’t answer, only sat back on her heels.
“As if you didn’t already have enough on your slate for that escape,” he shook his head.
Then, with surprise, he realized Tess probably wasn’t listening. She sat there, looking at him, her thoughts elsewhere. But she looked in love, and then she smiled gently. Even so, he whispered, almost inaudibly.
“I love you.”
