My Wife, My Rules – 24. chapter
Silence ruled the room, night outside. Embers still glowed faintly in the hearth. Aiden stood by the window, motionless, expressionless, the tension at the back of his neck betraying how long he had been there. The book covered wall panel slid aside with a creak. Tess stepped out of the passage without hesitation. Her breathing was uneven. The hem of her dress was smeared with mud, her hair damp from the cold evening air, her fingers clenched in the fabric as if she could not yet release it. The moment she crossed the threshold, she began at once.
“Aiden, I…”
“Can you explain to me where in the sky you see the sun?!” he shouted furiously before she could finish. He spun around, his face half swallowed by shadow, drawn tight to the breaking point.
“What the hell did you not understand about the rule that you MUST NOT be in the forest at night?!”
Her breath broke in her throat. She froze.
“Wait…”
“TWO hours! At least TWO hours have passed since sunset!! One rule, Tess. One single rule!”
His steps were hard, his stance rigid, fists clenched. He did not come closer, but his voice was so powerful that nothing remained between them but sharp space.
“I sat here like a naïve idiot the entire time, waiting! First I thought you’d lost track of time. Then I thought something had happened to you. And the worst part was admitting that maybe you simply didn’t care what it would do to me. I am trying, very hard, to do everything I can to make you as happy as possible. Do I really not deserve even ordinary respect for our agreements?!”
His voice broke, but he did not relent. In his eyes gleamed the shadows of everything he had not said.
Tess tried to speak again. He was faster.
“Do you really think I couldn’t discipline you? Do you know what I could do to you with God’s blessing simply because I am your husband? And you certainly don’t know what I could do because I am me. I can be very creative,” he threatened.
His voice trembled now. Not with rage. With something closer to collapse. He tried to steady himself and his voice.
“Look. I know you didn’t choose me. That you don’t want to be here. I understand that.”
Tess shook her head desperately.
“Aiden,” she began, but he did not let her.
“I know you don’t have the feelings in you that I do. And maybe by now I should finally start accepting that you never will.”
“I love you,” she said suddenly.
Aiden fell silent. Everything stopped. Even the hearth did not crackle. The air did not move. Only her voice still hung in the air for a moment. He stood there, visibly stunned. His mouth parted, but nothing came out. His gaze softened. His hands dropped to his sides. His expression broke into something between shock and fragile hope. He hesitated, then, as if something occurred to him, lowered his eyes.
“Tess, you really don’t need to resort to a lie like that,” he said quietly.
“I love you,” Tess repeated, more firmly.
He looked at her, doubtful, searching. He was so thrown that when Tess took a step toward him, he took one back.
“And it’s hard for me to believe you haven’t known that for a long time,” she whispered, gently making him retreat farther. As she stepped toward him, he backed away. He was unable to react and only kept watching her, until the backs of his legs hit the edge of the chair against the wall. He lost balance and landed squarely on the seat. With the natural fall, his legs were slightly apart. Tess immediately stepped between them and made him part them even more.
He leaned back. In this exposed position, he might have tried to defend himself somehow, if she hadn’t touched him. She placed her small palm against his face and stroked him gently. He breathed deeply, doing nothing but watching her. She bent and kissed him lightly. The touch brought a mixed reaction from his body. His heart softened, and his dick began to harden.
“Tess, if you’re just playing with me now, please stop,” he whispered hoarsely.
She did not answer. She kept kissing him tenderly.
“I love you,” she whispered again, close to his ear.
He placed his hands at her hips, but she moved them away and set them on the arms of the chair. He did not know why he wasn’t resisting. He did not have time to think. He was drowning in her tender kisses. She gently placed her palm against his unguarded crotch. He gasped. Without breaking the kiss, she undid his belt and trousers and freed his already hard dick from beneath the fabric. He had trouble breathing. When she gently wrapped her fingers around him, he moaned aloud. He dropped his head back against the chair. Tess took a better hold of his dick and gently tightened her palm around him. She began to stroke him. Not slowly. Gently. Aiden understood immediately that tonight, he was not the one in control. For a few minutes she worked him patiently. His moans filled the room. When he seemed hard enough to her, she stepped back.
He watched her as she slid off her coat and let it fall. She simply slipped it from her shoulders and let it drop to the floor. Then she lifted her skirt, slid her underwear down, and left it on the floor. Holding the skirt at her knees, she stepped out of the little pile of clothes and took one step forward. One knee came up onto the chair beside his thigh. Then the other. He could not resist the sight of her hiked skirt, even though she still held it much too low. Tess let him look for a moment. Then she slowly raised the skirt. Aiden knew he was lost. She had taken control completely. She allowed him to see her folds for only a moment before letting the skirt fall again. She moved closer and slowly lowered herself onto his hard dick.
“My God,” a groan tore from Aiden’s throat.
She kept kissing him and began to move slowly. He gripped her hips with both hands, tried to pull her tighter against him. Tess caught his hands and lifted them above the chair back. He was startled but did not resist. For nothing in the world did he want her to stop. She laced her fingers with his and found a comfortable position for his wrists over the top of the chair, then moved faster.
“My God, Tess,” he breathed, letting himself be carried by what she was doing. Her breathing joined his, quick and ragged. Overwhelmed by her love and intoxicated by her initiative, Aiden realized how dangerously arousing this was.
“Slow down,” he whispered, hoarse.
“Why?”
“I don’t want to come before you,” he admitted.
“Why?” she asked again, without slowing even a little.
“It isn’t proper. A lady should go first.”
He had to concentrate to keep his arousal under control. He tried to free his hands from hers above his head, but Tess tightened her grip. She wouldn’t have the strength if he decided to force it, but he understood that he shouldn’t.
“Still a gentleman? Not tonight,” she smiled and moved even faster.
“Jesus,” he breathed, realizing he had no chance. The little minx had decided to make him come. His focus was useless. One look at her aroused body, her head thrown back, and he could not stop the release anymore. He closed his eyes, trying to hide it, unsuccessfully. She stopped moving and kissed him.
“Keep going!” he urged immediately.
“No,” she shook her head and began to rise off him. He tried to stop her by catching her at the waist.
“You didn’t orgasm. Keep going!”
“I don’t need it,” she smiled and stood.
“Tess, I can’t leave it like this,” he said, stepping to her as he fastened his trousers. “I’ll please you with my tongue. Hmm?” he offered temptingly.
“Why couldn’t only you have an orgasm?” she smiled gently and stroked his cheek.
The question seemed absurd to him. Yet he found an answer.
“Because that is not how it is done.”
“You give me orgasms all the time, even when you don’t have one,” she argued.
“…because that is how it is done!” he tried again, smiling. It didn’t work. He did not persuade her.
