A Fairy Tale for Big Girls – 8. chapter
First time here? Start with Chapter 1.
The knock on the door clearly displeased Mark. Reluctantly, he released Lili from his arms, pulled on his trousers, and opened it.
“You’re interrupting,” he growled at the newcomer without greeting.
“I know,” Lili recognized Martin’s voice. “But we really need you.”
“Can it wait?”
“Philip’s soldiers started wandering through our southern neighbors’ lands this morning.”
Mark tipped his head back and sighed in irritation.
“God made that idiot a king as punishment for the rest of us,” he growled, already pulling his shirt over his head.
“May I come with you?” Lili asked. “Please.”
He tucked his shirt into his trousers and shook his head.
“That is not something for little girls.”
He leaned down to her and kissed her gently.
“Rest. I’ll try to return as soon as I can.”
And he disappeared.

Lili woke to a caress. She opened her eyes and realized it was morning.
“I’m sorry I didn’t make it back to you yesterday,” Mark said with a smile. “Aren’t you hungry? Not much was gone from the supper I sent you.”
“I don’t like eating alone,” she replied in a sleepy voice and sat up. She reached for her dress, and as she pulled it over her head, Mark rose and began dressing as well.
“That’s not fair,” Lili muttered from inside the dress. “At least the other women are together.” She pushed her head through the collar. “And you leave me here alone,” she frowned at him.
“If you were a good little girl, I wouldn’t have to tie you up,” he answered provocatively. She glared at him and stuck out her tongue.
His amused smile turned hungry after a moment, and he took a step toward her. She froze.
“Stop,” she stepped back. “I just got dressed.”
“I don’t think you have,” he countered, fully aware that with the chain on her ankle she could not be wearing anything beneath the skirt.
Still smiling, he advanced very slowly. She retreated just as carefully until the chain stopped her. Then he paused for a moment too, savoring the fact that she could not escape him. And the way his arousal was rising. Her breath quickened. She tried, completely uselessly, to jerk the chain.
“Mark,” she breathed, her gaze dropping to his swelling crotch. She jerked the chain again. She shook her head, but kept breathing faster. She looked like a trapped animal, watching him rigidly as she waited for the moment he would attack.
“Come to me, little one,” he whispered in a veiled voice and took the last two steps toward her quickly. He shoved his hand into her hair, pulled her to him, and began kissing her passionately. She pressed her palms to his chest, trying to push him away.
“Mark, I don’t want this,” she tore herself from him. He caught her around the waist and pulled her down onto the bed. He immediately pushed up her skirt and lay between her legs.
“Shhh,” he whispered into her ear and slid his palm beneath her lower belly.
“Don’t be afraid of me,” he continued in an aroused voice. “This time it won’t hurt anymore, I promise.”
She kept squirming beneath him and making soft sounds of protest until his fingers found her opening. Then she went still, gasping.
“Good girl,” he sighed with satisfaction when the wetness between her legs completely contradicted what she had been saying. She let her eyes fall half closed and caught her lip between her teeth.
He freed his belt and trousers quickly. She opened her eyes and shook her head.
“Sh-shh-shh!” he cut off her objection and never stopped stimulating her with his fingers. He moved closer, guided his dick, and pressed it against her opening.
“No,” she whispered, aroused.
It was hard to believe such resistance.
“Say you don’t want me,” he challenged. Instead of answering, she only moaned.
“Say you don’t want me, or I’ll stick it in,” he said more firmly. It took all his restraint to give her those few seconds. She lifted her gaze to him and stayed silent. He entered her faster than he had planned, but he was losing control. A few rapid movements and he realized she had wrapped her arms around him and was meeting him with her hips. The last remnants of his concern and caution vanished in her loud moans…
“What did you actually settle yesterday?” Lili asked over breakfast, when they finally made it to breakfast. She tried to draw attention away from the blush that had painted her face as soon as they entered the hall. Everyone present had clearly been waiting for a long time already, and everyone knew why. She shot Mark a reproachful look. He returned it with a tender, conspiratorial smile.
“Martin mentioned Philip yesterday,” she finished, and when she noticed Martin’s knowing smirk too, she lowered her gaze to her tea.
“His Majesty King Philip,” Mark corrected instructively.
“His Majesty King Philip,” she repeated. “What makes him interesting?”
“I still think this is not for you,” he said, “but as you wish. For some reason, his guard has been moving from one country to another for months now.”
“Attacking? Is it war?”
“No. Quite the opposite. He gathers troops at the border, announces himself to the local ruler for a visit. His men comb through the land, attack nowhere, loot nothing, and leave peacefully. Then they do the same thing in another country. He observes all peace agreements and procedures and does nothing wrong. But it is suspicious. Especially for Philip.”
“As if he were looking for something,” Lili responded and put another bite into her mouth.
Mark looked at her, a little surprised by her sensible response, then nodded.
“That has occurred to us as well. But what? If he has a claim to it, surely any king would rather give it to him than allow a foreign armed force to wander freely through his country.”
“And if he has no right to it?”
“Well, that is the question. What happens if he has no claim to it. How the ruler of the country where he finds it reacts. And what Philip does then.”
“Will that lead to war?” Lili asked a little nervously.
“Don’t be afraid, little one,” he replied soothingly. “Since no one knows what Philip is searching for so stubbornly, it likely has greater value to him than to the ruler of the country where it is. And in that case, the local ruler will certainly rather hand the thing over than go to war.”
He realized with displeasure that he hadn’t calmed Lili even a little. He caught her hand and squeezed it gently.
“You truly have nothing to fear. Nothing bad will happen.”
She nodded unconvincingly.
